OPTIONS for Recovery - Central The OPTIONS perinatal day treatment program provides six to nine months of intensive non-residential services to pregnant, post-partum and parenting women who are experiencing problems due to their alcohol and/or other drug use. Clients must have at least one child age 17 years or under, either with custody or actively seeking to regain custody. OPTIONS provides individual, group, and family counseling, a twelve week parenting class, two meals per day,co-operative child care, on-site supervised foster care visitations for clients who are working on reunification plans, transportation assistance, and linkages to case management and to primary medical and pediatric care. The goal of the program is to decrease the number of alcohol and drug-exposed infants, diminish the effects of perinatal substance abuse, and help prepare the client, through education and employment preparation, for job readiness and self-sufficiency. Program fees are based on a person's ability to pay. |
